Freshman Sen. Ken Salazar, D-CO, who has Focus on the Family as a constituent but it is at odds with it over judicial nominations, has called it and founder James Dobson "the Antichrist," provoking wry amusement from friends in the press. Bob Dole writes in The NY Times: I still hold out hope that the two Senate leaders will find a way to ensure that senators have the opportunity to fulfill their constitutional duty to offer "advice and consent" on the president's judicial nominees while protecting minority rights. I was at Georgia State this past weekend sharing my thoughts on "Why Goodridge isn't Loving," i.e., critiquing, largely on historical grounds, the "miscegenation analogy" as a basis for same-sex marriage.
